BRABUS - SV12 SAFE by Stockinger

BRABUS - SV12 SAFE by Stockinger

The more you’ve got, the more you’ve got to worry about. But Stockinger, Germany’s most renowned safemakers have just the answer.
The Brabus and Stockinger SV12 safe by Stockinger is designed to ensure that when not on the wrist, priceless watches stay safely on their watch winders. The safe not only provides state of the art security, but also sleek and smart contemporary styling.
The Brabus SV12 is a joint venture between Stockinger and Brabus, the high performance after market tuning company which specialises in Mercedes-Benz, Maybach and Smart vehicles. Truly a sophisticated toy cupboard.

 Superior quality
The Brabus SV12 takes its name from the powerful Brabus SV12 engine, but as far as the safe is concerned, the 12 represents the number of specially fitted watch winders.
A high gloss black finish is applied on the body and door while the Brabus logo adorns the handle. The interior is lined with plush red Alcantara leather, carbon fibre and wood work.

 Superior storage
Beneath the watch winders are five drawers designed for storage of other valuables. LED lights assist you if you open the safe in the dark, and you can customise your safe with a personalised name plate on the door. There’s even room for a favourite night cap to be securely sequestered away.

Naturally, part of the fun of being loaded is that anything can be made to your exact specifications, and so naturally everything about the Stockinger Brabus SV12 can be made to order including the number of drawers, the number of watch winders, the drawer linings, (Alcantara, leather or velvet) interior lighting, engravings – you name it you can specify it.

 Superior security
The digital input safe conforms to VDS grade III security level which in turn conforms to the EU 1143/1 certification, including the automated sensitive alarm system.

The cost of the safe is 169,703 $, which in some cases could be less than the cost of a single watch that a dedicated connoisseur might wish to store in the safe. Great, but it would be totally wasted on my watch collection.

ANONIMO - Dino Zei Line San Marco Bronze

ANONIMO - Dino Zei Line San Marco Bronze Limited Edition NEW

Conceived for military professionals (for both daily and operational use) rather than for ordinary civilians, showing the values of tradition, these watches have great respect for particular design shapes and feature extreme ruggedness and functionality.

Created by Anonimo Firenze in close collaboration with Engineer Colonel Dino Zei and with Mr. Franco Zavattaro, Commander of the Combat Frogmen Force of the Italian Navy between 1968 and 1971 and Commander of the San Marco Battalion between 1972 and 1975, this watch has been conceived principally for use in military operations. It owes its name to the Battalion that defended Venice during the Great War. This is furthermore a name which has become synonymous with the Marines of the Italian Navy. Following demands of the landing forces, it has a one-piece steel structure to guarantee strength and higher resistance, a broader strap connection to reduce wear, easier access to the main crown and a dial that is easy to read even in low light.

With the case color is perfectly matched with dark brown strap with gold stitching, treated by water-repellent Opera Kodiak, which imparts the skin resistance to salt water. The dial and strap are made in one color.
The watch dial has a multi-level system of display: current time is shown by the central hands, date indicator is located at 2 o’clock position, power reserve indicator - between the "5" and "6" marks, the dial of the second time zone – at the 11 o’clock position. The most interesting detail of the dial is probably counting disk for the demobilization with a picture of a diving helmet. The buttons on the side of the case are used to set the time, wind the watch and operation in a different time zone.

Marko Petrovic - and his "Machine-Time"

Marko Petrovic - Mercedes 320 Tourbillion

Mercedes 320 tourbillion was design as homage to Mercedes-Benz type 320, firstly introduced in mid-1937. This car was special because it was given an independent front and rear suspension, with coil springs at all four corners. This gave the car impressive road manners while keeping the passengers comfortable.

This watch was born from the necessity of creating purely car oriented watch. The main goal of this watch is to show the obvious resemblance with the Mercedes car brand pointing out elegancy above all. Highly precision and attention to details refers to 'German precision'.

Whole design is inspired by the instrument cluster, so in that spirit the routine of knowing the time has been broken. The hours and minutes are shown as miles (kilometres) in a racing scale, expressing the 'car feeling'.
The main impact was made by a tourbillion with the shape of a Mercedes logo, clearly pointing the brand identity.

Marko Petrovic - Lamborghini Avenger Tourbillion

The Avenger is a design study of a vertical tourbillion concept watch. It has been made to pay the tribute to Italian bull. The design language follow the existing Lamborghini Aventador, taking inspiration from the rear part-open space engine area, transferring it all in to an unusual timepiece.

The main idea was to transfer that complex but still highly aesthetic engineering in to something other than vehicle but still close to it.

Vertical Tourbillion mechanism seemed perfect in this case, following the design in presenting something that seems as a cover of a Lamborghini engine, but instead of showing a glimpse of Lamborghini engine technology, it shows the complexity of this vertical mechanism. The main touch is an imitation of an engine roll bar (same as in aventador) that in this case holds the central loop glass, increasing the hour time. This watch present something that is obviously Lamborghini.

The Avenger watch is still in the concept phases, thus we don't have more specific details, but the obvious power exuded from the prototype makes the final timepiece a thrilling prospect to anticipate.

As for pricing - I know the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador will cost you around $387,000, as for The Avenger Vertical Tourbillion Watch - we will just have to wait and see.
